Denoto Holding Corporation serves as the economic development arm of the Hoopa Valley Tribe, a federally recognized Tribe located in Northern California. Chartered under Section 17 of the Indian Reorganization Act, Denoto is wholly owned by the Hoopa Valley Tribe.
Denoto drives economic growth through two interconnected strategies: enhancing the Tribe’s existing enterprises and positioning Denoto as a leader in the SBA 8(a) business development program. Headquartered in Hoopa, CA, on California’s largest reservation, Denoto is deeply rooted in the values of the Hupa people and dedicated to achieving business excellence that uplifts and empowers the local community.
A tradition of innovation
The Hoopa Valley Tribe is a trailblazer in tribal self-government. One of the original self-governance tribes, the Hoopa Valley Tribe runs its own Tribal Court; Medical Center; Fire and Police departments; Fisheries, Forestry, and Environmental Protection departments; and the Hoopa Valley Public Utility District, which is installing one of the largest rural broadband projects in California.
Having established itself as a leader in self-governance operations, the Hoopa Valley Tribe is employing that innovative spirit to expand and modernize its economic development with the formation of the Denoto Holding Corporation.

Economic Diversification
